::Policy & Advocacy::

The policy and Advocacy unit of YARN is poised and geared towards advocating for sexual & reproductive health and developmental issues that affect adolescents and young people. Its activities include policy analysis, training and empowering youth leaders in policy advocacy, advocating for youth participation in policy decision-making, formulating and influencing bodies related to sexual and reproductive health programmes at all levels of Nigeria government.

 

::Health Services::

Availability and accessibility of youth friendly health services in a time where HIV/AIDS & other alarming infections is ravaging the youth generation is of immense necessity. We recognize the effect of RSH issues & lack of adequate information and services in that regards decided to put in place the ‘health services unit’ to take care of the needs of the young people
The health services unit makes available, accessible & affordable health related services to young people in Nigeria.

 

::Training & Capacity Building::

TCB function primary on training and building capacity of adolescents and young people on RSH issues (Peer education, Skill building sessions on HIV/AIDS prevention, Monitoring and Evaluation, etc). Our Facilitators are second to none having various degree of proficiency in Developmental issues, NGO management and programme planning. Our key programme is working with in school youth building their capacity not only on RSH but life building skills and goal attainment.

 

::Behaviour Change Communication/Internet Based Intervention Program::

The BCC/IBIP is tasked with the responsibility of conceptualizing, planning and development of BCC activities tailored towards gaining the attention and participation of young people on RSH and development issues. It utilizes various strategies that are of great interest to youth and one of such is the use of the Internet, which is captivating to the contemporary young people. Therefore, in order to reach a wide range of young people, the IBIP was initiated to provide correct and comprehensive information on youth sexual/ reproductive health, drug abuse and HIV prevention. Adolescents, young people and adults alike are encouraged to contribute through features and articles before compilation and posting on the YARN website.

 

::e-Centre::


Basically serves to train youths on adequate and up to date computer & IT courses (viz; MS Office, CADD, website development) because we are committed to the growth of IT amongst the Nigerian youth as we believe every youth should have an affordable & adequate access to information in computer & IT to enable them compete in the global IT society.
The e-Centre also offers IT based solutions to organizations & individuals alike ranging from web development to consult services etc.Read info on tutoring classes
